The Making of Series 11
Series 11 is LIVE! We can’t tell you how long we’ve been waiting to share it. We loved making, collaborating, and, of course, puzzling this series. Seven, can you believe it? SEVEN new puzzles for everyone to share, gift, and, of course, piece together yourselves! There is nothing quite like the lead-up to a launch. The fall lifestyle photoshoot is one of our biggest behind-the-scenes events at Le Puzz. This year, Alistair decided to photograph two best friends puzzling our latest series together. To us, nothing beats puzzling the night away with your closest friends.
The day of the shoot, one of the bigger tasks was finishing American Jewish Puzzle. Team Le Puzz and friends stepped up to help and completed 6 of the 7 newest releases for the photoshoot. But, American Jewish Puzzle was the last puzzle we had to finish before the photoshoot. That meant the whole crew- styling, digi-tech, and beyond got to work sorting, puzzling, and prepping bright and early the day of the shoot. It was both the greatest and the most stressful speed-puzzling event of the year. Maybe we’re biased!
Meanwhile, Alistair was busy photographing all our new puzzles and merch. The art direction went for our ideal puzzling night. Complete zen, cozy clothes, BFF and all. Each pair had a few puzzles to share. Alistair directed the talent in all the best ways. Swapping boxes, examining posters, and finding two pieces that fit together. All the laughter and smiles you see on each BFF set are completely authentic. Our puzzles are just that fun, and not that we needed proof or anything; but let’s just say the photos speak for themselves.
The talent hardly needed any props at all, except maybe our Halloween puzzle, Haunted House Party. How could we not put on a costume and find a prop knife for something so spooky?! We were going for a jump scare, but maybe we’re too silly to scare anyone. In the end, of course, the best prop was one another. Although we didn’t finish the Jewish American Puzzle, we did have a lot of fun trying. All hands on deck is how Le Puzz works, and each person on this shoot helped bring us at least one puzzle piece closer to the finish line. Now that’s something to celebrate.
